Library

Students visit the library weekly to enjoy a literary learning experience. Our librarian models reading each week with a book showcase. The students from PreK all the way to 6th grade gain knowledge from the exciting selections. The older students also have time for Accelerated Reader testing and book selection to meet their classroom goals.

The library is a resource for classroom teachers too as they consult with the librarian to choose appropriate books to share in their classrooms. During the Book Fairs, parents have the option to fill a teacher’s wish list for classroom books. There are many important connections between the library and our classrooms.

New book selections are added each semester to our library. Therefore, there are always many options for checking out an interesting book.

In the Fall, the librarian sponsors a Character Pumpkin Contest. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and students to work together on a creative book related project. Parents are  encouraged to visit the Book Fair each semester. In the Spring, we celebrate Read Across America and March as Book Month with special community guests.

The Riverhill Library is a vital resource for our school community!
