Emergencies

Due to inclement weather or other emergency situations, it may be necessary to close school for the entire day, to dismiss early, or to open late. We make every effort not to dismiss early. Parents are encouraged to pick up their children if concerned about weather conditions. Riverhill has a plan in place to shelter the children until they can be picked up safely. Parents will be notified with phone calls, texts, and e-mails through Parent Alert. In addition, announcements will be made on local television and radio stations and through this website. Riverhill School acts independently from city and county school systems.

In addition to weather emergencies, Riverhill School has plans in place for fire, lock-down, shelter-in-place and medical emergencies. Many staff members are certified in First Aid and CPR/AED. The local Fire Department and Police Department are only minutes from the campus. The campus is monitored and recorded continuously by Certified Alarm.
