We are so excited about the upcoming RAPS opportunities for parents and students! We also want to express how grateful we are to the Riverhill Staff for an amazing first quarter!
For parents who don’t know, RAPS is Riverhill Association of Parents and Staff. During a normal year, RAPS organizes fun events for Riverhill families as well as fundraising and community service events. This year, RAPS has been inactive due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The safety of Riverhill staff and students are top priority, so unfortunately our normal fall activities such as Movie Night, Mother Son Night and Fall Festival are cancelled. RAPS is currently planning three non-contact fundraisers and one community service project that we hope you will be excited about participating in.
306BBQ Boston Butt Fundraiser – RAPS will be selling vouchers for a Boston Butt that can be redeemed at 306BBQ in Florence at your convenience. Look for the order form in your child’s backpack.
Christmas Greenery Fundraiser – RAPS will be selling live Christmas greenery. Look for order forms in your child’s backpack at the end of this month.
Christmas Store – RAPS will be doing the Christmas Store again this year, but a little bit differently due to restrictions. The store will comply with student and staff safety procedures.
Safeplace Supply Drive – RAPS will be collecting consumable items for the local domestic violence shelter during the month of October (which happily coincides with Kindness Month). Look for a list of items in your student’s backpack.
If you have not joined the RAPS Bloomz group, please do! Bloomz is the best way for RAPS to communicate with every parent this year – especially since you won’t see me in the car line handing out flyers! Learn how to join our RAPS Bloomz group.
